hayley mardon

Born in Zimbabwe, Hayley is a graduate of the prestigious jewellery design course at Edinburgh College of Art, where she won a Precious Metal Bursary Award.Her concern for the development of projects in Africa was at the forefront of her studies and her written research focused on fair trade and how it works in Western consumer society.

Hayley's designs employ bold forms and exuberant colours inspired by memories of her home in Africa. She is fascinated in both precious and non-precious materials and her love of painting is reflected in many of her designs. Hayley's signature pieces are dramatic and large in scale but seductively flexible and light to wear.
