Hailing from the Luo tribe, George, like many other Kenyans, did not receive a school education as his parents could not afford the fees. His search for work led him to Nairobi where for several years he was a watchman.

In 1994 fate led George to Kitengela where he learnt how to cover hip flasks in leather. He was later introduced to zinc and brass casting and went on to become a highly skilled metalworker.


made met George through friends at Linda Camm Enterprise and he is now our primary metalworker. Amongst other things, George makes the logos found on all made accessories. This constant stream of work has enabled George to complete his workshop and double his workforce from four to eight.
