Sainsbury's are making a difference with made
Tu at Sainsbury's is committed to offering ethically sourced goods for AW '07, Tu have worked with made – the accessories brand with a conscience to design a special range of jewellery, which will sit alongside both the Fairtrade and Organic clothing ranges. made focuses on promoting trade not aid, which is something all at Tu at Sainsbury's feel passionately about.
Tu at Sainsbury's is committed to offering ethically sourced goods for AW '07, Tu have worked with made – the accessories brand with a conscience to design a special range of jewellery, which will sit alongside both the Fairtrade and Organic clothing ranges. made focuses on promoting trade not aid, which is something all at Tu at Sainsbury's feel passionately about.
The designs made has created for Sainsbury's will be unique to the Tu range but like its existing designer ranges, they will be crafted using materials sourced in and around made's various projects in Kenya. There will be an initial run of 15 designs with the aim to increase the collection in the future.
The Tu by made range includes earrings and pendants made from recycled multi-coloured glass and beads, reclaimed wood, reclaimed bone and recycled welded brass. Prices are from £6 - £10. All pieces are made in the newly built workshop in Nairobi.
